2 dead, 2 injured in Fayetteville shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police are investigating a shooting outside a nightclub on Bragg Boulevard that left two dead and two injured.

Officers arrived on scene at Mickey's Bar and Grill located in Carolina Square at 5121 Bragg Blvd. in reference to a report of a shooting just before 2 a.m. Friday.

An investigation revealed that an altercation took place in the parking lot between two known parties and resulted in an exchange of gunfire. Two people, a man and a woman, were fatally wounded and two others received minor injuries.

The man tried to drive away and died driving the wrong way on Bragg Boulevard. The woman died several hours after the shooting.

The names of the victims are currently being withheld pending notification. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit are investigating the incident. They are looking for a small white SUV they believe was driven by someone involved in the shooting.
