Worker injured at NC State Fair

Posted: Updated:
RALEIGH, N.C. - Soon after the State Fair ended Sunday night, a worker was hurt while dismantling a ride.

Investigators with the Wake County Sheriff's Office are trying to figure out how the man was injured while working on a ride called the Vortex around 3:30 Monday morning.

The ride is not the same version of "The Vortex" people were injured on last week.

Officials say the 35-year-old man hurt his leg. His name has not been released and there was no word on his condition.

He was taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
