A 19-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries Wednesday when he was struck by a car and run over by another car.
The man, whose identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, was crossing U.S. 70 in Clayton near Moore Street when he was struck by a car, knocked into the west bound lanes and run over by another car.
He was transported by Clayton Rescue to Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh with serious life-threatening injuries.
Police say both drivers had the right-of-way and the bicyclist crossed the highway against the light. Neither driver will be charged.
Police say the man was on a bike at the time of the collision.
