TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - An ongoing dispute between two families in Tampa erupted in to gunfire Saturday night, leaving two people dead and a third person with serious injuries, according to Tampa Police.

Officers responded to a call for shots fired just after 8 p.m. at a home on 2304 110th Avenue. When they arrived, they found Erica White dead in the roadway and Percy Basden deceased inside his home.

A short time later, the shooting suspect Juan Molina, showed up at Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries from a gun shot wound, police said.

Police say they determined that Molina confronted White over a neighborhood dispute and shot her and then walked to Basden's house where he fired a shot through the door killing him.

Molina then tried to break into the house when he was shot by Basden's adult stepson. Molina's in custody charged with 2nd degree murder and 2 counts of aggravated assault.

Mugshot of Molina is from an arrest on March 3, 2013.

"I've had 12 shootings in four years since i've been here, now it's a double murder," said neighbor, Angela Bunn.

Saturday's shooting is upsetting for her, says she knows the Basden family.

"These people are good Christian people, they never bother nobody, they got babies in the home," she said, fighting back tears.

Police have suspicions as to why the shooting happened, but they didn't provide details.

"We have an ongoing dispute, it's not a random crime, it's an ongoing dispute in the neighborhood," Lt. Ronald McMullen, with the Tampa Police Department, said.

Some neighbors say drugs could be involved in those disputes.

"There's no confirmation of that at this time," Mullen added.
