Some photos out of China prove it’s a good idea to check on your car every once in a while.

The photos contained in the slideshow above are from China’s Sichuan Province. The owner apparently abandoned the car about a year ago, and this is what happened.

It became completely overgrown with Ivy vines. The old, blue-colored van was dubbed ‘Zombie Car’ by social media users,” according to NBC News

When police finally responded to complaints about the vehicle they tried to remove the vines. They were too thorny, though and it was decided to tow the vehicle away…vines still intact.

Officials were able to track down the original owner of the car using the license plate. According to NBC News, the owner told police he had sold the vehicle years ago and didn’t remember any of the buyer’s information.
