Human ashes cause of Sarasota mall shutdown Tuesday

Human ashes turned out to be the unknown substance thrown in a Lensrafters in Sarasota Tuesday. Human ashes turned out to be the unknown substance thrown in a Lensrafters in Sarasota Tuesday.
SARASOTA COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

The Sarasota Police department released more details about the shutdown of the a Sarasota mall on Tuesday.

The Westfield Southgate Shopping Center was closed down when a man entered the mall, and threw an unknown substance into the LensCrafters store and fled on Tuesday.

Wednesday, officers said a man mourning the loss of his fiance had decided to spread his fiance's ashes inside theLensCrafters store.

Officers say the man was mourning the loss of his fiancé and didn't mean any harm.
 
Police said he did not realize the commotion he created.   

Charges will not be filed and the police department is offering the man grief counseling.
