TAMPA, FL (WFLA) - Detectives with Tampa Police released a surveillance video of a man who may be a possible witness to a shooting of a Plant High School student near the school last weekend.

Last Friday a man pulled up near two teenage girls walking home from the school's football game, made a statement and pointed a gun at the girls.  They ran and the suspect fired a shot which struck one of the girls in the calf.

Detectives are looking for this man captured on the security camera at the football game. They believe he might have information about the incident.

"He was at the football game. There are several images," said Tampa Police spokesperson, Andrea Davis. "We are just trying to figure out who he is, so we can reach out and talk to him."

Davis said the man is an adult, and not a student. He was at the stadium, watching Plant High School play Sickles High School last Friday night. The video shows him wearing shorts, a red t-shirt and a baseball cap.

"We have identified some information that leads us to believe he may know something. At this point, we can't reveal that. We can't do anything to jeopardize the investigation right now. The most important thing is finding some answers for the two families involved," Davis said.
