Peeping incident reported in UNC residence hall

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -

UNC Public Safety is investigating a peeping incident that took place on campus around 3 a.m. Friday.

The incident took place in Connor Residence Hall. A female told officers she saw a male peeping at her while she was taking a shower in the residence hall.

The suspect is described as an Asian mall, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing dark-framed glasses and a dark-colored Duke hooded sweatshirt.

UNC sent out a message to students and staff through Alert Carolina to inform everyone about the reported incident.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the UNC Police Department at 919-962-8100 or the Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7515.
