RALEIGH, N.C. -

Every year the North Carolina State Fair introduces us to a new fried food. Last year we were able to indulge in deep fried cinnamon rolls covered in bacon, deep friend Girl Scout cookies and Philly cheese steak egg rolls.

Woody's, who introduced us to the Philly cheese steak egg roll in 2012, will introduce the BBQ egg roll at this year's fair.

The fried treat contains eastern-style N.C. pulled pork BBQ with homemade coleslaw and is served with tangy BBQ sauce.

Other new food at this year's state fair include:

Miss Debbie's Specialty Apples has a new gourmet apple called the Double-Decker Doozy. The Double-Decker Doozy consists of two caramel apples on top of each other, dipped in white and dark chocolate, covered with marshmallow fluff, M&Ms, various mini candy bars, gummy worms and turtle candies. Miss Debbie's is in the Commercial Building.

The Cajun Grill in front of the grandstand is adding frog legs to its menu. Other Cajun delicacies on the menu include crawfish, alligator tail on a stick and shrimp gumbo.

Scoops Ice Cream near the Graham Building will be doing deep fried ice cream.

And you can find the new Sloppy Joe Donut Burger at the 1853 Grille and in the concession stands inside the Education and Scott buildings.
