    A couple vacationing in Mexico was almost hit by lightning, a few sources including Washington Post reported Tuesday.

JONESBOROUGH, TN (WJHL) -

A two vehicle crash in Jonesborough Thursday evening sent both drivers to the hospital.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the 1100 block of Boone's Creek Road.

THP said a Honda traveling toward Jonesborough crossed the center line clipping a septic truck in the other lane.

The collision forced the truck to roll over where it then impacted a power pole.

The driver of the Honda was airlifted to the Johnson City Medical Center with serious injuries.

The truck driver was transported by ambulance.

THP said both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing and charges could be pending.
