HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - The State Attorney's Office completed their review of the shooting death of 24-year-old Charlie Bates.

State Attorney Mark Ober said the Tampa Police officers and Hillsborough County deputies were justified in the use of deadly force and that no charges would be filed against law enforcement officers involved in the shooting.

Bates led law enforcement on a high speed chase Sept. 6 along US 301 just north of I-4 in Hillsborough County after an all night crime spree.  He was shot and killed by law enforcement when the chase ended.

State Attorney Ober says his staff responded to the scene that day, and reconstructed events by the involved deputies and officers.
