Deputies: two men broke into over 300 storage units in Hillsborough

Posted: Updated:
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for two men who they say have broken into more than 300 storage sheds since May in the county.

Deputies say the same suspects have broken into over 180 storage units in May and June in the Town N' Country area.

Detectives added 182 more storage unit break-ins to the suspects' list. The break-ins happened on Aug. 30 at Public Storage on Waters Avenue and Sep. 21 at Public Storage on Dale Mabry Highway.

Deputies describe the robbers as two Hispanic males, thin and about 18-24 years of age with short dark hair. One of the suspects has two large tattoos on his right arm.

Detectives have surveillance video from break-ins at Uncle Bob's on Hillsborough Avenue from June 15, on which the suspects are seen prying open storage units with a screwdriver. During the crime 72 units were broken into, but very few items were taken. Deputies say the other cases are similar.

Anyone with any information about these suspects is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
