'The Voice' coaches battle in week 2 of blind auditions

To push or not to push, that’s the question as we enter week two of ‘The Voice’ blind auditions.  


Coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera will battle to fill out their teams.

After the first week of blind auditions, each coach has selected at least four individuals for their team.  Team Adam has managed to secure five members, including 54-year-old Donna Allen, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader.

Allen, who spent nine years working with Gloria Estefan and The Miami Sound Machine, is the oldest contestant on the hit NBC singing competition show.

Having finished the first night of blind auditions with the fewest team members, it was Coach Blake Shelton who made up some ground during the second night auditions.

Despite winning three of the shows four seasons, Blake has been forced to step up his sales pitch. With chair turns from both Christina and Blake, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee decided to go with team Christina.

Barry Black, 26, got chair turns from both Adam and Blake. In the end, Black decided to join team Adam.

In the first four-chair turn, it was team Blake who secured 19-year-old songwriter Holly Henry.

With the original four coaches all back together, each one is working this week to secure 12 talent individuals.

 ‘The Voice’ airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on WFLA News Channel 8
