Student Spotlight: Hillsborough QB Dwanye Lawson

Posted: Updated:
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

Hillsborough quarterback Dwayne Lawson is only a junior, but with a powerful arm, and standing tall at 6’5, he already is the talk amongst many Division 1 schools across the country.

However, Lawson has one main focus this season, and it’s leading the Terriers onto a great season, while showing leadership and commitment.

Lawson states, “You don’t have to make excuses about what’s not working out for you, it’s a hot day 95 degrees and were running sprints, we still got to go 100 percent, and if I’m going 100 percent the whole team can follow behind me.”

Catch Lawson and the Hillsborough Terriers taking on Lennard High School, Friday night at 7:30 pm.
