A man was airlifted to UNC Hospitals after his truck crashed into the side of the historic courthouse in Carthage Wednesday afternoon.

The man traveled from the direction of Dowd Road and crashed into the building around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was airlifted to Chapel Hill by Carolina AirCare.
