Shooting at a Wilson park leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

WILSON, N.C. -

Wilson police are looking for anyone involved with a fatal shooting at a park on Tuesday night.

Police were called to Freeman Street Park in Wilson at 10 p.m. Tuesday in response to a shooting. When officers arrived on scene they found Esteven Martinez dead from a gunshot wound, police said.

They found another man, Douglas Castro Medina, injured. Medina was transported to the hospital.

No arrests have been made and no information about potential suspects has been released.

The Wilson Police Department asks anyone with information to call 252-399-2323.
