Phil gets attacked by K-9s at the Wake Co. Sheriff's Office

Posted: Updated:
RALEIGH, N.C. -

When it comes to fighting crime, law enforcement agencies across the country rely on man's best friend for help.

In this week's latest installment of "Phil Fills In," Phil Sanchez helps train some of Wake County's best K-9 crime fighters.

The first step in helping to train the canines is putting on a protective suit. In this case, Phil is the man in the suit and is attacked by dogs named Kane and Rico.

"Does anyone get hurt?" asked Phil.

"Maybe, when you play with dogs you get bit," Sgt. Jeremy Johnson said.

After a couple of "attacks" Phi realized the fear of doing it was worse than actually doing it.
