POLK COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A Polk County woman says she's got some unwanted guests in the Auburndale home she rents and she says they are snakes!

Since July, 32-year old Angela Hogan says she's seen a total of eight of the slithery creatures.

"They're coming out of the wall, from up under the bathtub." Said Hogan.

"The landlord, they have came out to put moth balls out, they put pest control for roaches and stuff, and then yesterday was the big boom when they tried to do the pesticide of the snakes," she added.

Her landlord has sprayed the home to attempt to get rid of the snakes, and now Hogan says the smell of those chemicals are too much for she and her children to take. "My son started wheezing real bad, so then I started smelling the odor then I started having my breathing problems or whatever, and I immediately called the ambulance and we all got transported to Winter Haven Hospital last night. "

Bob Lethers owns the home and said he's done everything he can to take care of the situation.

He said in the mean time, if Hogan doesn't have a place to stay, she and her children are more than welcome to stay with him and his wife.

Melanie and Jeffrey Cornwell should have been getting a tax break for years on part of the homestead property in Dunedin they call their "little piece of Heaven." But due to a mistake at the Pinellas Property Appraiser's Office, they won't see any rebates for previous taxes, just a break on future tax bills.
