Home invasion victim speaks out

Posted: Updated:
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL (WFLA) -

Tyler Paneson says, in a way, he feels lucky. He knows his injuries could've been much worse. "Started punching me, got me in a headlock. And I was able to get out of that..." Said Paneson. "They were stepping on my chest, got a horseshoe a couple of broken ribs, the face, I got a couple of facial bones, a broken nose." Paneson was the victim of an early morning home invasion on Friday. Four suspects entered his home; three were dressed in black wearing black masks and black gloves. He didn't see the fourth suspect at first. "And when they tied me up in the room, you know tied my hands behind my back, belt tied the bottom, that's when I seen my ex-girlfriend, no ski mask, no nothing. Just smiling. Having a good time."

27-year old Jennifer Olen is the victim's ex-girlfriend. 32-year old Justin Nutter is her new boyfriend. The other two suspects, 37-year old Stephen Bush and 47-year old Paul Quin are acquaintances.

Investigators tracked the four down to a home on Terrier Court in Zephyrhills. They immediately arrested one of the home invaders, but the three others holed up in the house for nearly six hours before finally giving themselves up. All four now face robbery home invasion charges.

Paneson says he can't help but wonder why. "When I saw her it was a shock man. Definitely." Said Paneson. "I would never expect that. I mean even if you dated a female for a year, a month, anything, you wouldn't expect that. But to be stabbed in the back yeah, it hurt." The thieves made off with his prescription medication, some electronics and other valuables. He hopes he will get those items back.
