PALM HARBOR, FL (WFLA) -

The east section of the Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor reopened Thursday after a fire destroyed the observation tower Wednesday morning.

Officials declared the four-story observation tower a total loss. Authorities are investigating what caused the fire. They will keep the section on the west side of the park closed at the bridge.

While on assignment at the park, our digital photographer Todd Davis saw two otters in the main spring of the park. A woman was feeding the fish in the spring and the two mammals decided to join and lunch with them.

Otters live in fresh water creeks, springs, lakes and rivers throughout the state, according to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission website.
