The following news release was submitted for publication:

(Johnson City, TN) An event to benefit Coalition For Kids will be held Thursday in Johnson City.

The "C4K Tailgate Party" will last from 6-10pm in the Taylor Ballroom at the Holiday Inn, 101 Springbrook Dr., Johnson City.

The event will highlight a "Reverse Raffle" with a $10,000 prize along with a Silent Auction.  Additional prizes will be offered throughout the evening such as a $125 prize to every 50th ticket drawn.  Raffle tickets will be sold for $100 each with the expectation of selling 600.  For those wanting to attend the event without purchasing a raffle ticket, reception tickets will be sold for $35.

A Silent Auction will be held concurrently with the Reverse Raffle and will offer a variety of unique and appealing items for guests to bid on.

Going along with the football theme, typical tailgate food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, coleslaw, fruit, vegetable and cheese trays along with assorted desserts will be served.  Music will be provided by Lightnin' Charlie, a regional musician well-known for his very entertaining mix of bluegrass, country and gospel.  Josh Smith, news anchor for News Channel 11 WJHL-TV, will act as host of the evening.

Local partners such as Stifel, First Tennessee Foundation, Citi, Price Less Foods, Watauga Orthopedics and Ridgeview Apartments have joined with Coalition in sponsoring this event.  All proceeds will benefit Coalition For Kids.
