Roads reopen, no injuries after house fire in Tampa

Posted: Updated:
TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Florida Highway Patrol had to close parts of Interstate 275 for over an hour near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tampa due to low visibility Monday morning. Smoke from a house fire near the interstate caused the condition on the roadways. No one was injured.

Tampa Fire Rescue crews responded to the fire at 2306 N. Nebraska Ave. soon after midnight. When they arrived a two-story wood-frame house was engulfed. The flames were showing on one side of the house.

According to the TFR report, the fire got so intense, crews had to get out of the house and battle the blaze from the outside. It took firefighters about two hours to contain the fire. About 45 responders were at the scene, TFR officials said.

Tampa Fire Marshal investigators are working to determine the cause of fire. They haven't given any damage estimates yet.
