TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Tampa Fire Rescue said a tree fell on a home at 2111 East Bougainvillea Ave. just after 6:00 p.m. Monday.

They say a large oak tree from a neighboring lawn fell onto the front of the home.

Firefighters say the homeowner, 58-year-old Princillen Lajeunesse was home with his family when the tree came crashing down. No one was injured according to a press release by Tampa Fire Rescue.

The fire department says the home sustained significant damage and the family of two adults and four children cannot stay in the home.

Firefighters say it appears the tree rotted and fell during a rain shower on Monday evening.
