Students begin moving into dorms at Triangle colleges

RALEIGH, N.C. -

It's going to be a big weekend for college freshman and their families as many colleges and universities in the Triangle have their move-in day this weekend.

"I'm actually more nervous driving here. The closer and closer I got, the more my anxiety built up, but as soon as I stepped foot in my room it was good," says Jacob Lasky, a freshman at N.C. state who is moving in.

Jacob isn't the only one in the family with butterflies.

"I don't want to leave. I'm sad that he's leaving but very excited," says Michelle Lasky, Jacob's mother.

It's that mix of excitement and nervousness all over the Triangle.

Students at UNC also begin moving into dorms Friday. First year students at Duke do not move in until Tuesday.
