Man found dead in front yard in Plant City

PLANT CITY, FL (WFLA) -

Plant City police responded to reports of a man lying on the ground in front of his home on Warren Street early Monday morning.

Officers found Edward Henry Lewis, 67, next to his car in the front yard of 914 West Warren St. He was unconscious and had upper-body trauma, according to the police report. Plant City Fire Rescue crew pronounced Lewis dead at the scene.

Police are investigating this as a homicide.
