NASHVILLE, TN (WKRN) -

A man blamed his GPS after making an illegal U-turn early Tuesday morning that caused a rollover crash in Nashville.

According to the police, Toby Leonard drove past the airport on Donelson Pike and tried to make a U-turn, causing a black Mercedes sedan to slam into his Ford pickup truck.

The Mercedes rolled over onto its roof.

The female driver was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a possible broken hand.

Leonard, 29, told police that he made the U-turn because his GPS told him to.

He is being charged with making an illegal U-turn and having an incorrect address on his license.

Both southbound lanes and one northbound lane on Donelson Pike were closed while crews worked the scene.

The road has since reopened.
