FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers of North Carolina's 2nd District is holding a job fair where employers can recruit vets.

The event is being held on Monday at the Crown Center in Fayetteville.

Over 250 businesses have been invited to attend the event. Among the organizations and companies participating are Campbell University, AT&T, Lowes and the local VA Medical Center.

Employers will be on hand to answer questions, accept resumes and interview job applicants between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. This event is open to members of the military and veterans.

Ellmers says the nation has a duty to help those who protect America's freedom and the job fair is a small way to show appreciation.
