Deputies end search for missing woman at Hillsborough State Park

Posted: Updated:
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

Update: At this time the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is calling off the search for Darcy Miller. The body of a white female was discovered deep within the park this evening and has tentatively been identified as Darcy Miller.

The cause of death is pending an autopsy, but there are no signs of foul play. At this time, detectives are not searching for a suspect.

Background: Hillsborough County deputies are searching in the Hillsborough River State Park area for a missing woman from Orlando who has family ties to St. Petersburg.

At 10:15 a.m. on July 25, 2013, Darcy Miller left her residence located in the Lakeside at the Lakes of Windermere Condos in Orange County, FL. At approximately 12:30 p.m., she contacted family members stating she was heading to The Mall at Millenia in Orlando, FL to go shopping. Miller never returned home.

Miller was driving a white, 2007 Honda Fit. On July 27, 2013, the vehicle was located at the Hillsborough River State Park in Hillsborough County, FL. Detectives are currently searching for Miller in that area. There is concern for her well-being, as it is unusual behavior for Miller to not keep in contact with her family or friends.

Miller is prescribed medication that she does not have with her. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Darcy Miller is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200.

Melanie and Jeffrey Cornwell should have been getting a tax break for years on part of the homestead property in Dunedin they call their "little piece of Heaven." But due to a mistake at the Pinellas Property Appraiser's Office, they won't see any rebates for previous taxes, just a break on future tax bills.
