Scrap metal Lamborghini

Posted: Updated:

A design studio has developed a prototype for a Lamborghini made from scrap metal.

All vehicles are imported into Kyrgyzstan because there is no local car production in the land-locked central Asian republic.

However, designers at the "New Format" studio have assembled the first so-called "Kyrgzlamborghini."

The studio's art director told Reuters the car took three months to assemble.

He said he found Lamborghini design drafts online and developed his own design using random car parts.

A 1982 Volvo's platform serves as the basis for the car, but it also was made from parts of other cars, plastic, carbon steel and acrylic glass.

The wheels came from a BMW X5.
