Morristown man dies in Greene County motorcycle crash

GREENE COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

The Tennessee Highway Patrol released the name of a man killed in Greene County early Wednesday morning in a motorcycle crash in the Mohawk community.

According to the THP crash report, 41-year-old Keith VanSchoyck of Morristown died in the crash.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on State Highway 340, otherwise called Fish Hatchery Road, near Turner Land and Briar Thicket Road.

According to the THP, VanSchoyck was headed south on State Highway 340 on his motorcycle when he encountered a curve and drove off the left side of the road. 

VanSchoyck and his motorcycle went through a ditch and fence.

VanShoyck was thrown from the motorcycle and he rolled several times.

The THP is still investigating the crash.
