ROGERSVILLE, TN (WJHL) -

Hawkins County deputies arrested a 72-year-old after she allegedly shot at a car when it pulled in her driveway.

It happened Sunday off Bays Mountain Road, right at the Hawkins-Sullivan County line.

The incident report states that Oscar Scott, his wife and five children were driving on Bays Mountain Road when they came to a dead end, that's when Scott turned around in Margie Ramey's driveway and she came out with a rifle.

According to the arrest report Margie Ramey shot twice in the direction of the vehicle, hitting it both times on the passenger side running board.

Ramey admitted to deputies she shot her rifle towards the car, because she said she has had a continuous problem with people tearing up her driveway. We tried contacting Ramey, but she never returned our call. The driver of the vehicle, Oscar Scott, said since the incident he has heard she was having problems with her driveway, but doesn't think he was in the wrong.

"I don't care what problems she's had, you don't shoot at people for turning in your driveway period," said Scott.

The sheriff's office was unavailable for a comment Tuesday, but according to their report they did put Ramey's riffle into evidence.

Ramey is charged with seven counts of Felony Reckless Endangerment.

Ramey was released from Hawkins County Jail the same day she was booked on a $1,000 bond.
