Dish soap dumped in waterfall

Posted: Updated:
BOCA RATON, FL (WFLA) -

A waterfall foams out of control, sending car-sized suds overflowing into the road and causing hundreds of dollars in damage.

It happened in Boca Raton. The waterfall, which should be flowing, sits quiet.

Joyce Seays witnessed the overflowing suds while driving along Palmetto Park Road. "I thought maybe it was like fake ice or something. But when I got closer, I saw that it was kind of moving and I was like, 'nope, it's soap suds," she said.

Several feet away from the soapy mess were several empty bottle of dish soap, a supposed prank that sent huge chunks of white foam into the road.

And the bubbles didn't just create a mess for drivers. All of the foam could prove very costly to clean up.

Loggers' Run Neighborhood Management estimated it'll cost several hundred dollars to drain, scrub and repair the damage that's been done.

The HOA didn't want to speak on camera. No word on who is responsible. It's not clear if the management group plans to file a criminal report in the matter.

Melanie and Jeffrey Cornwell should have been getting a tax break for years on part of the homestead property in Dunedin they call their "little piece of Heaven." But due to a mistake at the Pinellas Property Appraiser's Office, they won't see any rebates for previous taxes, just a break on future tax bills.
