HERNANDO COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

A Hernando father and his two children have been found after authorities put out a missing persons report on them Sunday morning. They were found in Hernando County and investigators are looking for answers as to why the children  did not return home on time.

Two-year old Olivia Brooks and nine month-old Raven Brooks went missing on July 4th, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. The two were picked up from their home in Weeki Wachee by their father, Aaron David Brooks. Officials said the three were expected to return later in the evening, but never did.

Family members became worried and notified officials.  "One of the children suffers from health concerns and requires regular medication, which is not with the child," according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Aaron Brooks has now been arrested charged with interference with child custody and grand theft of a motor vehicle. His bond is set at $4,000.
