Man robbed at gunpoint on American Tobacco Trail in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said an armed robbery occurred on the American Tobacco Trail Friday afternoon.  

Police said a man was robbed near Otis Street on the American Tobacco Trail around 1:20 p.m. The suspect approached the victim and took a phone and a MP3 player at gunpoint.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 6 feet tall with a flattop haircut. He was wearing a gray shirt and shorts, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
