PIGEON FORGE (WATE/WJHL) -

News Channel 11 confirmed with the Pigeon Forge Police department that three officers were fired after an alleged plot to kill other officers on the force.

A police department spokesperson said Trinity Brown, Jefferson Thigpen and Michael Musgrove talked about a plan to kill other officers in the department. The spokesperson said that plot was revealed from audio recordings that Police Chief Jack Baldwin obtained.

WATE in Knoxville reports the investigation also revealed threats made against the chief.

The police department spokesperson says no criminal charges have been filed against Brown, Thigpen or Musgrove.

WATE also reports that Chief Baldwin said last month the three officers had been suspended with pay after a complaint had been filed against them.
