Power outages reported after car hits transformer

MORRISVILLE, N.C. -

An accident involving a car hitting a transformer left 1,700 people with out power Saturday in Morrisville.

Wake County authorities said the accident occurred near the intersection of Bristol Creek Drive and Market Center Saturday afternoon.

No one was injured in the accident but Duke Energy said the power outages could last until 6 p.m.
