KINGSPORT, TN (WJHL) -

A Sullivan County man is facing numerous charges after assaulting his neighbor's friend.

According to the Sullivan County Sheriff's office, deputies were called to a home on Springwood Lane in Kingsport Friday. A release from the Sheriff's Office said, the victim told officers that he and his daughters were visiting a friend when the neighbor, Brian Smith, began yelling at them. The victim stated Smith then came over into the yard and began trying to fight him. When Smith was told that sheriff's deputies were on the way, he ran back to his house, got a garden hoe and came back and threatened the victim.

The Sheriff's Office report said, the victim told officers that Smith exposed himself at one point, and attempted to get his dog to attack the victim.

Deputies said when they tried to talk to Smith, he took off running. Deputies found him and a moonshine still inside an outbuilding on his property.

Smith was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Public Intoxication, and Possession of a Still.
