WESLEY CHAPEL, FL (WFLA) -

On a video monitor in front of Judge Shawn Crane, Jamar Thompson and Christian Quevedo were read the charges against them for breaking in to nine businesses in Pasco county Thursday morning.

Trevor Campbell is the owner of 'Cash for Gold', one of the businesses that was burglarized twice.  Campbell says Quevedo and another suspect, Sarah Zachman cased out his business before the burglaries.

Campbell says Quevedo told him that, "he wanted to put a couple of things on layaway and that he would come back for it."

Campbell says what they didn't notice was a high tech surveillance system that was watching their every move.  When they came back, they were recorded.

During the first burglary, one of the suspects was seen wearing purple sneakers.

When the store was robbed the second time, one of the burglars entered the office, turned on the lights and the camera caught images of the purple sneakers.

The Sheriff's Office said the purple shoes belonged to Quevedo.

Campbell says, "I think it's a great opportunity to take part and get somebody off the street. They broke in to quite a few different places."

"I took my part and it helped out. So my video did that." Campbell said.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Christian Quevedo, Jamar Thompson and Sarah Zachman may be linked to as many as 17 burglaries in the Wesley Chapel area of Pasco county.
