TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

A Tampa law firm donated $50,000 to repair the exercise equipment on Bayshore Boulevard Fitness Trail, Mayor Bob Buckhorn announced Thursday.

The Fitness Trail runs along the boulevard from the Davis Islands to Rome Avenue. The city will use the donated money to outfit all 10 fitness stations with the new equipment, according to the mayor's office.

The new equipment will include a sit-up bench, 3-person pommel horse and S-shaped jump bar. The trail will also have waist and leg stretchers. The city will install rubberized fall surface material around the equipment.

"I am grateful to Hill Ward Henderson for their generosity, and I am sure the thousands of people who enjoy Bayshore everyday will be as well," said Mayor Buckhorn.

"The Bayshore stands as one of Tampa's signature landmarks, and we are proud to be a partner with the City in its continued enhancement," R. James "Jim" Robbins, Jr., Managing Shareholder of Hill Ward Henderson said.

The city plans to finish the installation by this September.
