SEFFNER, FL -

When Hillsborough County deputies responded to the Masters Inn in Seffner on Tuesday, acting on an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip, they found a meth lab under a sink and eight children in the motel room, they told us.

According to HCSO report, Devin Devoe, 21, of Seffner, opened the door to the room and invited deputies to come in; there were three other adults there.

Deputies found an active methamphetamine lab in the bathroom. Post Miranda, Devoe admitted he was running it, deputies said.

HCSO deputies evacuated several rooms of the motel at 6010 Hwy 579, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and a hazmat team helped neutralize the lab.

Child Protection Investigation Division responded to the scene and will investigate along with HCSO detectives.

Authorities charged Devoe with eight counts of child abuse, possession and manufacture of a controlled substance among other charges.
