Hillsborough schools give free summer meals

Even though school's out for summer, local kids can still get two free meals a day. Hillsborough County Schools is running the Summer Food Bus for the second year. 

The bus stops in migrant communities during breakfast and lunch and provides boxed meals. The goal is to make sure students still get the free nutritious meals they eat during the school year.

Here is the bus schedule:

Route 1

RCMA Dover

3238 San Jose Mission Rd., Dover

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Lunch – 11:30 a.m. to noon

RCMA Westside Village

3102 Sammonds Rd., Plant City

Breakfast – 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Lunch – 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

RCMA Knights

1402 W. Knights Griffin Rd., Plant City

Breakfast – 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Lunch – 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Route 2

RCMA La Estancia

5292 Guadalupe Blvd., Wimauma

Breakfast – 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Lunch – 11:30 a.m. to noon

RCMA Wimauma Groves

5316A Sun Paradise Ct., Wimauma

Breakfast – 8:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., Lunch – 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

RCMA Balm
