79-year-old woman has purse snatched at Bradenton Walmart

BRADENTON, FL (WFLA) -

A 79-year old woman was robbed at knifepoint in the parking lot of a Bradenton Walmart Monday morning.

The robbery happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Walmart on 53rd Ave East. Officials said the elderly woman was getting into her car at the time of the robbery.

The unidentified suspect approached the woman, displayed a knife and took the woman's purse before running from the area on foot. The victim was not injured.

Officials said they were following several leads on a possible suspect. No arrests have been made as of yet. Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
