Less than one day after Richard Shane Mabe was placed on the TBI's top ten most wanted, he went back to jail, but not before police say he carjacked a man at gunpoint.

Thursday you heard from police about how they were able to catch the man wanted on two counts of attempted murder -  for a shooting that happened in Johnson County on Monday.

He was arrested along with his driver, Timothy Lee Greer.

Thursday was just like any other day for Kevin Keene, until just after noon. "Just glad to be alive!" said Keene.

Richard Shane Mabe and Timothy Greer led police on chase throughout Mountain City. Keene tells News Channel 11 he was on Highway 91 North when he, "...pulled in and heard sirens, a bunch of us were looking around."

Police said Mabe and Greer pulled into the Marathon gas station off Highway 91 North when, "...they came in and we all ran," said Keene.

That's when the two suspects approached Keene, "Tey said give me your car and all I seen was two guns and I just walked off, like anybody else would do."

Mabe and Greer headed down Highway 91 North in Keene's Honda. Keene said, "They jumped in it and took off down the road in it and I seen them wreck it and everything."

Police rammed the car knocking it into a ditch, totaling Keene's car. Keene said he was a victim at the wrong place, at the wrong time. "I don't know who they are," said Keene. "Just see them on the news every now and then."

Keene said he still can't believe it happened, "It's shocking to see all that happen around here. Pull up and get gas and your vehicle gets gone."

Both Mabe and Greer are charged with carjacking, while Keene is without a car.

Sheriff Mike Reece told News Channel 11 that according to his insurance, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office will be responsible for paying Keene for his car, since they were the one's who rammed Mabe and Greer off of the road.

Besides carjacking Mabe and Greer face numerous charges, including four counts of attempted first-degree murder on a police officer.
