GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) -

A Greeneville physician pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning after he was arrested earlier this week on felony drug charges.

Investigators say they found Dr. Robert Wayne Locklear, 42, with crack cocaine. Dr. Locklear was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of felony possession of schedule II crack cocaine.

His bond was set at $80,000. Dr. Locklear's attorney told a judge he was going to drug rehab. His has also been ordered to be tested every ten days for drugs and is due back in court on July 29 at 9:00 a.m.

He will remain on bond monitoring until his next scheduled court date. If he tests positive for drugs or does not go to rehab, his bond will be revoked.

The arrest was announced by the Third Judicial Drug Task Force which conducted the operation with Greeneville Police Department and the Greene County Sheriff's Department.

A spokesperson at Takoma Regional Hospital told News Channel 11, "Dr. Locklear left Takoma Regional Hospital in February 2012 and opened his own internal medicine clinic on East Andrew Johnson Highway in Greeneville. We are deeply saddened by the news regarding Dr. Locklear."

According to an affidavit, on June 11 the Greenville Police Department received a complaint from the clerk at the Comfort Inn concerning Locklear, a guest at the motel. A clerk told police a large amount of short stay traffic had been at Locklear's room and that she was suspicious of drug activity.

The affidavit says Locklear was found with 6.4 grams of crack cocaine in his pants pocket.

It was the second time in less than a week that Locklear was caught with crack cocaine.

Another affidavit revealed that Greene County Sheriff's Deputies were called to Be Happy Apartments on Snapps Ferry Road to investigate a domestic disturbance on June 5. There, Locklear stated he had brought crack cocaine to the apartment and placed it in a laundry basket. Those drugs were taken into evidence, but Locklear was not arrested at that time.
