Bristol, Virginia-based band Annabelle's Curse second album, "Hollow Creature" will go on sale next week.
The band will host an album release party on Tuesday, June 18 at Wolf Hills Brewing Company in Abingdon, Virginia. According to a press release from the band, the celebration will get underway at 5pm. The event is free for fans of all ages, and open to the public. Copies of "Hollow Creature" will be available at the party. The album will also be available on iTunes and Bandcamp on June 18.
Annabelle's Curse recorded "Hollow Creature" after a successful Kickstarter campaign. The band says they surpassed their goal of $8,000 and raised $11,600 to fund their time in the studio. In February, the band packed up and headed to Ohio to record at Suma Recording Studio. Many artists like Fleetwood Mac, Grant Funk Railroad, and The Black Keys have recorded albums at the studios, located just outside of Cleveland.
The album was produced by David Mayfield who was nominated for a Grammy in 2010 for producing Barry Scott's album, In God's Time. Mayfield is also known at the front man for the David Mayfield Parade and former member of the bluegrass group Cadillac Sky.
Annabelle's Curse rocked the Roan Street Stage at Johnson City's Blue Plum Festival on Saturday. The band's website lists two shows for the upcoming weekend. Friday night the group will play at Painter Creek Marina on South Holston Lake in Washington County, VA. Saturday the band will travel to Wytheville to play at the Chautaugua Festival.
Annabelle's Curse is also scheduled to perform on Daytime Tri-Cities on Monday, June 24.
