•GoodGuide:It's a good idea to steer clear of harsh ingredients like phthalates, parabens, and sodium lauryl sulfate, but it's hard to pick out which products contain them and which don't. Sound familiar? If so, simply photograph an item's bar code and you'll find out just how green the product is. Bonus: Within seconds, expect to receive an assessment on how good the item is for your health and the environment, accompanied by a list of ingredients and picks of greener options. Price: Free
•Haircaster: Think of this as a daily horoscope for your hair. This app prompts you to enter your zip code and hair texture, then tells you how the weather will impact your strands, along with styling tips. Price: Free
