SULPHUR SPRINGS, TN (WJHL) -

Josh Adcock, a little boy whose story has become well-known around the Tri-Cities, died Thursday. 

We first reported on the 8-year-old boy from Sulphur Springs last December. When his classmates launched Christmas card campaign to cheer him up as he dealt complications from a rare form of Dwarfism.

On his CaringBridge page, his family wrote, "Our sweet little man gained his angel wings and went to be with Jesus peacefully while surrounded by his family... A special thank-you goes out to our family and friends who have stood by our side and been our support throughout this entire journey."
 
A celebration of life for Josh will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Boone Trail Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. 

The family asks in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to PHIL Foundation, 158 Highland Road in Jonesborouh, TN 37659.  The fund helps other families in community going through simlilar times of need.
