More than two dozen arrested in Largo drug sweep

Largo Police worked with several other agencies to arrest 29 people on drug charges this week in the northwestern section of the town.

In October of last year, police began receiving tips about drug activity in the area of Beverly Avenue and Clearwater Largo Road in Largo.
   
Between April 15th and April 17th, Largo Police partnered with Clearwater Police and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives to conduct a sweep. Police arrested 29 people on various state and federal drug charges. They also collected 13 firearms, four of which were stolen.

Investigators also found 20 grams of crack cocaine, 40 grams of marijuana and 40 grams of hydrocodone.
