Pro Wrestler offers to help victims in Boston

Steve Chamberland, professional wrestler, started 50 legs, a foundation to provide prosthetic legs. TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Steve Chamberland is a large, muscular man. He spends some of his time in the ring as a professional wrestler.

When you meet him, you notice his size and his unmistakable New England accent.

Earlier this week, Chamberland made news by offering to donate new prosthetic legs to two year old Ireland Nugent.

The little girl lost both of her feet in a lawn mower accident at her home.

On the very day Chamberland met with her family to offer the new legs, another tragedy was taking place in Boston.

As Chamberland sat with Ireland's family, he saw the news of the explosions at the Boston Marathon.

Soon after, some of his friends from Boston started to call.

Chamberland says, "Actually one of my friends that I went to high school with calls me and he goes, hey my cousin is one of the kids that lost his legs.  Hey do you think you can help and I'm like don't worry about it, we got it"

Chamberland runs a charity known as 50 Legs.  He helps raise funds to donate prosthetic limbs to families in need.

He plans to travel to Boston, to give families there hope and help.

"When you start something like this, you don't realize how big it's going to turn into and what it's going to turn into.", says Chamberland.

It's obvious when you see him, his arms are big.

Chamberland's heart is bigger than his biceps.
