TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Ireland Nuget, the two year old girl injured in a lawn mower accident last week, was back in surgery today.

Doctors at Tampa General Hospital performed surgery to close wounds in her hands and to prepare her legs for prosthetic devices in the future.

Ireland's mother and father were joined by their pastor after the surgery to give an update on her condition.

Reverend Dennis Reid of Trinity Presbyterian Church says she was taken to surgery around 10:30 Monday morning. Reverend Reid says, " It was very successful."

Nicole Nuget says she was comforted to see her daughter's face following the surgery, " Once you see her and I saw her face and kind of felt like she was still her, she's still my baby and no mater what limbs she does or doesn't have, we're going to have the same relationship and she's going to be the same person she would have always been."

The family says they are thankful for support from the community. So far more than $16,000 has been raised to help the family with medical expenses.
